About This Project!

Why We Exist

Women's health education & research has been continuously overlooked and understudied, creating confusion & misinformation for many women. Health Is A Teenage Girl aims to change that by creating an educational & uplifting community where our younger girls can learn how to take proper care of their bodies and volunteer locally. We’re committed to spreading holistic women’s health awareness, focusing on fitness, body literacy, mental health, and self-advocacy. Every girl deserves to have the necessary, science-backed information and a loving community.

Who We'd Like To Work With

  • Girls from ages 12-21

  • Who's looking for an exciting & fun community to learn together,

  • Who wants to volunteer for a specific & impactful cause,

  • Who needs real science-based research on women’s health.

  • Girls interested in fitness and proper active health.

  • Those who don't have access to knowledge about healthy lifestyles,

  • Or those who have been impacted by their own health issues.

  • ALL types of girls! We welcome you with open hearts & arms.

A Note From The Founder - My Story

My name is Elina, and I'm a High School senior from ATX. Since I was 14, I've researched fitness for the sake of becoming a better athlete and lifter. Amidst my fitness journey between '25-'26, I had a concussion that affected every aspect of my health, then I sustained a back reinjury that left me bedridden and unable to work out for several months. I dealt with not knowing what was wrong, doctors not fully understanding me, and having to advocate for myself, only finding proper treatment months later. Those experiences and my extra free time shaped my passion project, Health Is a Teenage Girl. Throughout it all, I realized just how important holistic wellness is for women and how activity ties into it. I created this project to make an impact through awareness, advocacy, and acceptance for Women’s health, especially among young teenagers, so I can be the advocate I didn't have.
